“What’s Up?” with 4 Non Blondes? Quite a lot, actually.

The San Francisco band has been riding a new wave of fame thanks to a viral TikTok remix that mashes up their 1992 anthem with Nicki Minaj’s “Beez in the Trap.” The trend has sparked millions of views and drawn in unlikely participants, including Grammy-winner Sabrina Carpenter and activist and Nobel laureate Malala Yousafzai, both of whom posted lip-sync videos.

Rising to fame with their catchy tunes propelled by frontwoman Linda Perry, the group released their debut – and only – album, “Bigger, Better, Faster, More!” in 1992. Despite disbanding in 1994, 4 Non Blondes has remained a fixture of ’90s pop culture.

Earlier this year, 4 Non Blondes reunited for the first time in 30 years at BottleRock Napa Valley. Now, the rock group’s victory lap brings them back home, where they plan to perform two back-to-back shows at the Great American Music Hall on Wednesday-Thursday, Dec. 17-18.
