BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — A 34-year-old man was arrested after being found possessing 51.5 pounds of suspected methamphetamine Thursday evening, according to Bakersfield police.

Jorge Alonzo, 34, was arrested by Bakersfield police in the 3200 block of Ming Avenue Dec. 4 after officers located suspected narcotics in his vehicle.

K9 partner, Liam, helped the police locate the narcotics during the search, at about 7:20 p.m.

BPD detectives, CHP officers with the DEA and HSI task force, and other special agents helped investigate during the operation.

Alonzo was arrested for narcotics-related charges, according to police.
