A pedestrian was struck and killed by a Metrolink train in L.A.’s Pacoima neighborhood Tuesday afternoon.
Authorities from the Los Angeles Fire Department responded to the 9700 block of North San Fernando Road just before 4 p.m.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities have not released the person’s identity.
The circumstances surrounding the deadly crash, including why the pedestrian was on the tracks, remain under investigation.
No injuries to train occupants were reported.
Tracks were closed between Sun Valley and Sylmar due to the investigation and riders were told to expect delays.
