San Ysidro High School is under lockdown on Wednesday as police are searching for a suspect who allegedly stabbed a teen girl in a classroom, the San Diego Police Department said.

The stabbing was reported at around 9 a.m. on the school campus located at 5353 Airway Road. Police said a student was stabbed “multiple times” inside a classroom by another student who then fled.

SDPD describes the victim as a girl around 15 to 16 years old.

The school is under lockdown.
