BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — Two people are dead after a two vehicle crash that took place in Rosamond Wednesday afternoon.
Just before 3:30 p.m., officers with the California Highway Patrol responded to a two vehicle crash at the intersection of 70th Street West and Avenue A.
According to CHP, a man was driving a Honda southbound on 70th Street West when another man was driving a Jeep eastbound on Avenue A, both approaching the intersection. The two vehicles collided, killing the driver of the Honda and a woman who was passenger in the Honda.
Both occupants of the Honda died at the scene, CHP said.
The driver of the Jeep was transported to Antelope Valley Hospital.
Driving impairment does not seem to be a factor that caused the crash, according to CHP.
