First responders from across California are in Washington, helping communities affected by widespread flooding.The California Governor’s Office of Emergency Services (CalOES) said about 150 emergency response personnel members from the state were deployed to lend a hand.The Sacramento Fire Department shared images of its crew members preparing to head out on their Washington deployment.They’re part of Urban Search and Rescue (USAR) Task Force 7 – a team that is accustomed to responding, out of state, following large-scale disasters.The department says the team of 40 from across the greater Sacramento area will bring rescue, medical, logistics, planning and technical search expertise to western Washington.Their specialized training will help with swift-water and flood-related operations, supporting response efforts, and assisting communities in need, the department said.According to CalOES, Gov.
