BAKERSFIELD, Calif.(KBAK/KBFX) — Traffic in downtown Bakersfield is expected to be affected on Saturday, Dec. 13, and Saturday, Dec. 20, due to tree trimming maintenance, announced the City of Bakersfield.
Crews will begin work at 7 a.m. on Dec. 13, trimming trees on the west side of Chester Avenue between the Garces Circle and Truxtun Avenue.
Parking and traffic could be impacted in the right-hand lane on southbound Chester Avenue, with work expected to be completed by 3 p.m.
On Dec. 20, starting at 7 a.m., crews will trim trees in the center median on Chester Avenue between Garces Circle and Truxtun Avenue, affecting drivers in the left-hand lanes of both directions.
The city advises drivers to use alternate routes, allow extra travel time, or plan ahead. Maintenance may be postponed and rescheduled without notice due to inclement weather or other unforeseen conditions.
