In 2025, the eight nights of Hanukkah will be observed from Sunday, December 14 through Monday, December 22. This beloved eight-night festival of lights is being celebrated across Los Angeles — bringing communities together to honor tradition, family, and faith. Whether you’re lighting the menorah at home or joining in public celebrations, there’s something special about sharing this time of year with others.
We’ve curated a selection of incredible menorah lighting ceremonies happening all around the city and beyond, offering you the perfect opportunity to experience the warmth and spirit of the holiday season.
1. Fashion Island
Join the Hanukkah celebrations at Fashion Island with music, singing, and cherished traditions. This special event, in collaboration with the Chabad Jewish Center of Newport Beach, will take place in the Atrium Garden Courtyard on Dec. 14, 2025 from 3 PM – 5 PM. Full details here!

2. Grand Menorah Lighting and Chanukah Celebration at The Culver Steps
Celebrate the festival of lights with live music, an amazing magic show for all ages, a caricature artist, fun crafts and activities for kids, and exciting free raffles. Enjoy hot latkes, fresh doughnuts, chocolate gelt, and Chanukah swag for all participants! The celebration will conclude with a grand Menorah Lighting ceremony joined by local dignitaries. This free community event is open to all. You can RSVP here!

3. Santa Monica Promenade

Celebrate the Festival of Lights this Hanukkah with nightly menorah lightings on the Third Street Promenade in Santa Monica! Each evening is sponsored by a different organization and offers a unique, festive program, making every night a special celebration you won’t want to miss. More info!

4. The Culver Steps
Celebrate Chanukah at The Culver Steps at the Grand Menorah Lighting and Chanukah Celebration in the Upper Plaza on Sunday, December 14th at 4:30 pm. There will be a grand menorah lighting ceremony, live Chanukah music, hot latkes, doughnuts, chocolate gelt, amazing magic show for all ages, fun crafts & activities for kids, talented caricature artist, free raffles, and a special gift for every child. Plus, this free community event is open to all.

5. Beverly Gardens Park

The City of Beverly Hills warmly invites you to a Menorah Lighting Celebration with the the Beverly Hills City Council — as they come together to celebrate the spirit of Hanukkah and the Festival of Lights on Monday, December 15, 2025 at 5:30 — 6:30 p.m. at the Beverly Gardens Park Lily Pond.
