A vehicle collision Saturday caused power lines to come down in Fresno.

The collision happened just after 11 a.m. at First Street and Ashlan Avenue.

In a post, the Fresno Fire Department said the traffic accident “resulted in a damaged power pole and downed power lines.”

The intersection is closed as well as north, south, east and west of Ashlan, police said.

Drivers are asked to avoid the area and seek alternate routes.
