Lucky Lichine’s has done it again, as it sold another massive winning lottery ticket over the weekend in Sacramento.The results of Saturday’s Powerball drawings show that a ticket worth $1.97 million matched five numbers at Lichine’s Liquor & Deli at 7107 South Land Park Drive. The winning numbers were 1-28-31-57-58 with a Powerball of 16.The Powerball, now valued at $1.1 billion, has not yet been drawn, but the California Lottery said there were around 412,000 winning tickets sold across the state.Lichine’s has been known in Sacramento for drawing some notably large winning tickets, even if not jackpots. Once jackpots begin to swell, customers typically form a line outside the door to see if they can also cash in on the store’s apparent luck.Ken Chang, who works at Lichine’s, said he was not even aware that a winning ticket was sold over the weekend.”When we came in today (Sunday), a customer let us know. We were just super busy yesterday,” Chang said. “When I came in, it was another day at work, and when they let us know we sold one, I thought they were messing with us, and when we actually went online to check the results and verify, we were really happy.”Across the nation, Powerball reports that seven tickets worth more than $1 million were sold from the last drawing.The estimated cash value of the current jackpot is $503.4 million.
