A big rig overturned amid foggy conditions early Tuesday on the eastbound 91 Freeway in Anaheim, blocking multiple lanes near the 55 Freeway.

The crash was reported around 2:35 a.m., with the fully loaded truck blocking three middle lanes. The California Highway Patrol initially said the driver was still inside the cab after the crash.

News video service KNN News said that the driver was later assessed by firefighters at the scene and released.

A SigAlert was issued just before 3 a.m. as multiple lanes were closed for the investigation and cleanup. By 3:30 a.m., the two left lanes had reopened, but it was unclear how long the remaining lanes would stay closed.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
