FRESNO COUNTY, Calif. (FOX26) — A high-speed chase involving a homicide suspect ended with an arrest on Highway 99 in Fresno.

The pursuit, initiated by the Merced County Sheriff’s Department and involving multiple agencies, began near Le Grand and extended into Fresno County.

The suspect, wanted by Dos Palos police, led officers on a dangerous chase, reaching speeds of up to 120 mph.

The chase took a dramatic turn when the suspect, driving a white BMW, lost a front tire after officers spiked the vehicle twice.

Despite slowing to a crawl and eventually stopping, the suspect did not surrender immediately.

A K9 officer was deployed, leading to the suspect’s arrest.
