The Knox Street area has landed U.S. and European fashion brands for its lineup — with offerings unique to Texas.

Doen and Staud — both out of the Los Angeles area — will be joining the retail hub, along with TWP, which has ties to New York, according to a statement. Toteme, a fashion house from Sweden, will also arrive at Knox Street. Staud and TWP have had pop-up stores in Highland Park Village, but the new locations will provide permanent homes.

The stores will be in the new development project at the corner of Knox and Travis streets.

The Knox Street area is undergoing massive development efforts as it attracts shoppers and visitors at the longtime hub off U.S. Highway 75. Newer additions include Kith, the trendy retailer, with its “temporary” store, along with Roller Rabbit.

Doen — which was called the “hottest brand of the summer” in 2024 — will add to its store lineup of seven shops, including four in California, two in New York and one in Nantucket, Mass., according to its website. It features a wide selection of dresses, tops, coats, sleepwear and other offerings, including some handbags.

The women-run company started in 2016. The clothing is crafted to pass on for generations, evoking “a timeless whimsy and an unapologetic femininity,” its website said.

Toteme has locations around the world, including its home country and others in Europe, along with sites in Asia. It lists five stores in the U.S., including two in New York, another in Colorado and two in California.

The brand, founded in 2014, provides a variety of choices in outerwear, sweaters and denim along with handbags and accessories, among other choices.
