Rams wide receiver Puka Nacua<\/a> apologized for performing a gesture \u201cantisemitic in nature\u201d during a livestream<\/a>, stating he originally had no idea it \u201cperpetuated harmful stereotypes against Jewish people.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI deeply apologize to anyone who was offended by my actions as I do not stand for any form of racism, bigotry or hate of another group of people,\u201d Nacua wrote in a post on Instagram.<\/p>\n

Nacua made the gesture while appearing on a live stream with Adin Ross and N3on. The livestreamers suggested he perform the gesture the next time he celebrated after scoring a touchdown.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere is no place in this world for Antisemitism as well as other forms of prejudice or hostility towards the Jewish people and people of any religion, ethnicity, or race,\u201d the Rams said in a statement.<\/p>\n

The NFL also released a statement: \u201cThe NFL strongly condemns all forms of discrimination and derogatory behavior directed towards any group or individual. The continuing rise of antisemitism must be addressed across the world, and the NFL will continue to stand with our partners in this fight. Hatred has no place in our sport or society.\u201d<\/p>\n
