FRESNO, Calif. (FOX26) \u2014 Fresno police say a months long organized retail theft investigation has now led to an arrest and recovery of stolen property.<\/p>\n

The investigation began in August 2025 after Amazon employees reported a third party delivery driver failed to deliver packages to customers and did not return the items to an Amazon facility.<\/p>\n
An internal audit revealed the thefts occurred from January through late November 2025, according to the Fresno Police Department.<\/p>\n
Detectives identified the suspect, and determined he was responsible for more than $4,500 in stolen packages.<\/p>\n
On Wednesday morning, FPD’s Organized Retail Theft Tactical Team and Northwest Organized Retail Theft (ORT) detectives served a search warrant near North Seventh Street and East Shields Avenue. Amazon Loss Prevention employees helped during the operation, police said.<\/p>\n
During the search, officers took the suspect into custody and recovered multiple items believed to be stolen. The property was returned to Amazon, and the recovered items were valued at more than $950, according to police.<\/p>\n
