BAKERSFIELD, Calif.(KBAK\/KBFX) \u2014 Four people were arrested on Thursday, following a month-long Impact Unit Operation investigation into the Plaza Motel on Union Avenue, said Bakersfield police. The investigation revealed that the motel rooms were allegedly being used to sell narcotics primarily to the homeless population.<\/p>\n

More than $29,000, a large number of drugs, and multiple firearms were seized.<\/p>\n

The following suspects were arrested on various drug and firearm charges:<\/p>\n

Torrey Taylor, 38Jermaine Herring, 46Leonard Langley, 48Shelsea Pope, 30<\/p>\n

The suspects were booked into the Lerdo Detention Facility.<\/p>\n

In the investigation, officers with the Impact Unit received information that multiple people were selling illegal drugs from the Plaza Motel, located at 711 Union Avenue. Five motel rooms were allegedly being used for the illegal activity.<\/p>\n

Drugs were mostly sold to the homeless population and other residents, said police.<\/p>\n

The BPD\u2019s Violent Apprehension Team and the Special Enforcement Unit assisted, executing a search warrant at the motel.<\/p>\n
