{"id":104759,"date":"2025-12-22T10:30:07","date_gmt":"2025-12-22T10:30:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ca\/104759\/"},"modified":"2025-12-22T10:30:07","modified_gmt":"2025-12-22T10:30:07","slug":"firefighter-hurt-battling-blaze-at-long-beach-deli","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ca\/104759\/","title":{"rendered":"Firefighter hurt battling blaze at Long Beach deli"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A firefighter was injured battling a building fire in Long Beach on Sunday.<\/p>\n<p>Flames broke out at &#8216;Long Beach Sandwich Company&#8217; around noon, fire officials say.<\/p>\n<p>There is an apartment above the deli on West Beech Street, but the fire was contained to the shop, according to the Nassau Fire Marshal\u2019s Office.<\/p>\n<p>The firefighter\u2019s injuries were to his hand and he was treated at the scene.<\/p>\n<p>Nobody else was hurt.<\/p>\n<p>The sandwich shop will be closed for repairs.<\/p>\n<p>The owners say they hope to re-open as soon as possible, but they have a lot of work ahead of them.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"A firefighter was injured battling a building fire in Long Beach on Sunday.
