A 64-year-old Fresno man was fatally shot Tuesday evening during a neighbor disturbance in northeast Fresno, police said.<\/p>\n
Officers with the Fresno Police Department\u2019s Northeast Policing District responded around 6:17 p.m. to the area of Clinton Avenue and Bond Street after a report of a disturbance in which a gunshot was heard. At the scene, officers found a man suffering from a single gunshot wound to the upper body.<\/p>\n
The victim was identified as Mark Tarasevic of Fresno. He was transported to Community Regional Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead a short time later, police said.<\/p>\n
Homicide detectives identified John Gentry, 74, as the suspect. Police said Gentry and Tarasevic were neighbors.<\/p>\n
Gentry was taken into custody shortly after the shooting and booked into the Fresno County Jail on suspicion of murder. The firearm used in the shooting was recovered.<\/p>\n
