FRESNO COUNTY, Calif. (KFSN) — “We got dumped on. We got as much as six feet up at the top. Not quite as much down here. Definitely delivered quite a bit more up top, but we’ve seen as much as about three feet down here in the base area,” said China Peak Ski Resort General Manager, Troy Cohee.<\/p>\n

“We went from dry ground to having a solid base pretty much all over the mountain. Pretty much from zero to hero in about 48 hours, which is fantastic,” said Cohee.<\/p>\n
The ski resort plans to be running at full operations by Saturday.<\/p>\n
The packed mountain proved to be perfect for people of all ages and levels of experience.<\/p>\n
“I’m so glad it’s powder and not hard compact slush. It’s really easy for beginners. I’m a beginner, so this is really easy for me,” said Farmersville resident Brittany Alvarez.<\/p>\n
Brittany Alvarez and her brother, Javen, decided to drive up early Friday morning, and it turned out to be a perfect day.<\/p>\n
“I was expecting it to be a lot of slush. The last few days, we’ve had friends that were over and said that it wasn’t that much, it was hot up here, and there wasn’t that much coming down but it’s pretty packed right now,” said Javen Alvarez.<\/p>\n
If you’re looking to come up to the ski resort, you’re going to need to have some patience because Cohee said it’s going to be busy moving forward this season.<\/p>\n
