\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tOF THE ENTIRE YEAR. HERE IN SACRAMENTO INTERNATIONAL. SOME PEOPLE SAY GETTING THROUGH THE AIRPORT HAS BEEN MANAGEABLE, BUT OTHERS SAY NOT SO MUCH. KCRA 3\u2019S ANAHITA JAFARY CHECKED IN WITH TRAVELERS AT THE AIRPORT TO HEAR HOW IT\u2019S GOING. FILLING UP LINES, ESCALATORS AND WALKWAYS. IT\u2019S BEEN BUSY. YEAH, WITH SUITCASES AND GIFTS TO TAKE HOME. MY GIRLFRIEND AND I GOT THIS VACUUM. WE\u2019RE TRYING TO FLY HOME WITH IT. WE\u2019RE NOT SURE IF WE CAN CHECK IT OR CARRY IT, SO WE\u2019RE ABOUT TO FIND OUT. SOME TRAVELERS AT THE SACRAMENTO INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT ARE TAKING A TURN. THEY DIDN\u2019T QUITE EXPECT. HEADING BACK DOWN INSTEAD OF UP TOWARDS THE GATES. WE HAD AN EMAIL EARLIER SAYING THAT IT MAY HAVE BEEN DELAYED, AND NOW WE GOT AN EMAIL SAYING IT\u2019S CANCELED AND WE\u2019RE AT THE FRONTIER DESK. AND THE WOMAN TOLD US THERE\u2019S NO MORE FLIGHTS TODAY. EVERYTHING\u2019S CANCELED. THEY DON\u2019T HAVE ANY CUSTOMER SERVICE ON SITE. SO I GUESS I\u2019M GOING TO HAVE TO GET ON THE PHONE AND SEE IF I CAN GET THAT FLIGHT REBOOKED. THAT\u2019S EXACTLY WHAT OTHERS LIKE AARON BRANDT TRIED TO DO. I GET UP TO THE COUNTER AND THEY\u2019RE LIKE, NOPE, WE DON\u2019T DO THAT. AND JUST THEY LITERALLY DISAPPEAR FROM THE COUNTER FOR HALF AN HOUR. THEY ALL WALKED AWAY. YEAH, YEAH. BUT SO FAR, NO LUCK. THE FIRST PHONE CALL EXPLAINS WHAT I NEED TO HAPPEN. I HAVE TO GET DOWN THERE TODAY. AND HE\u2019S LIKE, NOPE, WE HAVE NO OPTIONS FOR YOU. COOL. LET\u2019S EXPAND TO OTHER AIRPORTS, OTHER AIRLINES. HE\u2019S LIKE, NOPE, I HAVE NOTHING. I\u2019M LIKE, WHAT ABOUT SAN JOSE? OAKLAND? WHAT CAN WE DO HERE? NOW, BRANDT AND OTHER TRAVELERS ARE TAKING MATTERS INTO THEIR OWN HANDS. HEY, ARE YOU GOING TO DRIVE? PAY MY WAY IN. WE\u2019LL TAKE TURNS DRIVING. THERE\u2019S A GROUP OF 5 OR 6 LADIES. RIGHT? WHEN I GOT HERE THAT WERE IMMEDIATELY GOT ON THE ROAD AND DISAPPEARED. YEAH, BUT AT THIS POINT, SOME PEOPLE WILL JUST HAVE TO WAIT UNTIL TOMORROW. THEY GOT TO BE AT WORK AT 4:00, AND MY JOB IS DOWN THAT WAY. SO I\u2019M NOT GOING TO MAKE IT IN SACRAMENTO. I\u2019M ANAHITA JAFARY KCRA THREE NEWS. WE REACHED OUT TO FRONTIER AIRLINES ABOUT THE CANCELLATION. THOSE PEOPLE WERE REFERRING TO AND TO FIND OUT WHAT CAUSED IT, BUT WE HAVE NOT HEARD BACK YET. \n\t\t\t\t\t\tDuring the busy holiday travel period, travelers at Sacramento International Airport are facing challenges with flight cancellations and delays, leading some to seek alternative travel methods.Reed Gibson, whose flight home was canceled, shared his experience. “We had an email earlier saying that it may have been delayed, and now we got an email saying it’s canceled, and, we’re at the Frontier desk, and the woman told us there’s no more flights today. Everything’s canceled. They don’t have any customer service on site, so I guess I’m gonna have to get on the phone and see if I can get that flight rebooked,” Gibson saidErin Brandt, another traveler facing a canceled flight, recounted her attempts to find alternative travel options: “The first phone call, explains what I need to happen. I have to get down there today, and he’s like, nope, we have no options for you. Cool. Let’s expand other airports, other airlines. He’s like, nope, I have nothing. Like, what about San Jose? Oakland? What can we do here?”Brandt and other travelers are taking matters into their own hands. “Hey. Oh, you’re going to drive, pay my way in. We’ll take turns driving. There’s a group of 5 or 6 ladies right when I got here that immediately got on the road and disappeared.” Brandt said.Meanwhile, some travelers, like Christopher Randell, are resigned to waiting until tomorrow. “I got to be at work at 4:00, and my job’s down that way, so I’m not going to make it,” Randell said.Efforts to reach Frontier Airlines for comment on the cancellations were unsuccessful.
