BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (Dec. 29, 2025) \u2014 A major-injury traffic collision involving a semi-truck and a pickup vehicle happened Monday morning in South Bakersfield at South Edison Road and Hermosa Road.<\/p>\n
The crash happened on Dec. 29th at approximately 6:40 a.m. at an intersection with four-way stop signs, according to the California Highway Patrol<\/a>. Initial reports indicated a semi-truck collided with a white pickup truck, leaving at least one vehicle disabled in the roadway.<\/p>\n CHP officials later upgraded the incident from a collision with injuries to a major-injury crash at about 7:11 a.m. However, it\u2019s unknown how many were hurt. <\/p>\n Heavy fog was reported in the area at the time of the collision, which may have contributed to reduced visibility.
