Bullard Ave., taking over the space formerly occupied by High Sierra Grill before the restaurant closed in September 2019.<\/p>\n<p>The specialty food retailer signed a lease for the 6,679 square-foot space, according to a report Monday from Retail California. Brokers Mark Vukajlovic, Michael Arfsten and Shane Sousa were involved in the transaction.<\/p>\n<p>The move marks the latest in a multi-year transition for Sierra Nut House that followed the <a href=\"https:\/\/thebusinessjournal.com\/after-nearly-55-years-sierra-nut-house-closing-original-home-villaggio-store-will-remain\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">closure of its original location<\/a> at the corner of Sierra and Chestnut avenues after nearly 55 years in business. The closure, announced in 2023, came as the longtime retailer reevaluated its footprint and future operations while maintaining its remaining store \u2014 at the Villagio Shopping Center.<\/p>\n<p>That, however, was followed by uncertainty, with plans briefly emerging for Sam\u2019s Italian Deli to <a href=\"https:\/\/thebusinessjournal.com\/customers-have-asked-a-lot-sams-italian-deli-plans-to-deliver-with-second-fresno-location\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">take the space<\/a> at Sierra Nut House\u2019s Villagio location as early as winter 2024 when the store\u2019s lease expired. That proposal ultimately fell through when Sam\u2019s announced a delay on the move, opting to put plans on hold until the neighboring unit\u2019s lease also expired.<\/p>\n<p>Sierra Nut House, meanwhile, moved forward with its own expansion. In December 2024, the company opened its second location in Old Town Clovis, serving as a replacement for its original store.<\/p>\n<p>The newly leased Bullard Avenue site adds another chapter to that growth.
