THE FESTIVITIES START AT 5 P.M. NEW YEAR\u2019S EVE. IT\u2019S FREE, IT\u2019S OPEN TO THE PUBLIC. THEY WILL HAVE LIVE MUSIC, ACTIVITIES AND FIREWORKS. SHOW STARTS AT NINE. \n\t\t\t\t\t\tYou can celebrate New Year’s Eve without having to stay awake until midnight in Old Sacramento. The “Countdown on the Cobblestones” family-friendly event starts at 5 p.m. on Wednesday.The celebration is free and open to the public. It features live music, activities, and a fireworks and light show beginning at 9 p.m. at the intersection of Front and K streets. The countdown show is produced by Pyro Spectaculars Inc. in partnership with Stage Nine Exhibits. Performances will include: Rituals of Mine, DJ Epik, Element Brass Band, Lab Rats and DJ El Indio.The Ferris wheel and merry-go-round will be open for a fee, and selfie booths and lounge areas will be available throughout the event.
