What organizers bill as the West Coast\u2019s largest free New Year\u2019s Eve event will be held Wednesday night at Gloria Molina Grand Park with performances by musical artists from a variety of genres and DJs spinning tunes.<\/p>\n
The five-hour, alcohol-free Gloria Molina Grand Park\u2019s NYELA will begin at 8 p.m. and encompass the six blocks that comprise the park.<\/p>\n
The event \u201cwill pay tribute to the resilience L.A. showed throughout 2025, celebrating the bravery of Angelenos who uplift their communities, defend their values and build a brighter future that reflects L.A.\u2019s beauty, diversity and strength,\u201d organizers said.<\/p>\n
The theme is \u201cPower of One,\u201d \u201cinspired by the monarch butterfly, an unwavering symbol of migration, transformation and ancestral courage,\u201d organizers said.<\/p>\n
Monarch butterflies and their pulsing wings will be depicted in the event\u2019s countdown to midnight art show projected on City Hall, set to begin at 11:55 p.m.<\/p>\n
The Countdown Stage in the park\u2019s Block 4 between Broadway and Spring Street will be hosted by Gingee, who describes herself as \u201ca DJ\/producer, percussionist and vocalist known for her unique take on global bass.\u201d She will spin tunes at 8 p.m., 9:20 p.m., 10:30 p.m. and 12:02 a.m.<\/p>\n
The first performer will be Latin Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter Ceci Bastida, a former keyboardist and vocalist with the Mexican ska, rock and punk band Tijuana No! Bardo, the former frontman of Los Angeles-based psychedelic soul band Chicano Batman, will follow her.<\/p>\n
The headline performer will be groundbreaking Filipina American rapper and spoken word artist Ruby Ibarra, who is set to begin performing at 10:45 p.m.<\/p>\n
The Get Down Stage on the Performance Lawn between Grand Avenue and Hill Street will be hosted by model turned R&B\/pop singer Shaun Ross, who is set to begin performing at 10:30 p.m. He will be preceded at 8 p.m. by DJs Clax10 and at 9:15 p.m. by Ashley Younnia who wrote on social media, \u201cWe\u2019ll be dancing into the New Year and turning the dance floor into a war cry!!\u201d<\/p>\n
DJ, record company executive and producer Wayne Williams will take the stage at 12:02 a.m.<\/p>\n
The celebration will also include performances by the Bloco Obini dance company and drum ensemble<\/p>\n
\u201cLight bites\u201d and desserts will be available for purchase from more than 30 food trucks, organizers said.<\/p>\n
Alcohol is not permitted and will not be sold.<\/p>\n
Parking will be available at the Music Center garage and the Walt Disney Concert Hall garage for $10 per vehicle.<\/p>\n
Attendees are highly encouraged to take public transportation. Gloria Molina Grand Park is located at the Civic Center\/Grand Park station on the Metro B (Red) and Metro D (Purple) lines. The park can also be reached by taking Metro\u2019s Regional Connector to the Grand Avenue Arts\/Bunker Hill, Historic Broadway and Little Tokyo\/Arts District stops along the Metro A (Blue) Line and E (Expo) Line.<\/p>\n
Metro rides will be free from 4 a.m. Wednesday through 3 a.m. Thursday.<\/p>\n
There will be four specially marked entrances to Grand Park:<\/p>\n
\u2014 First Street and Grand Avenue;<\/p>\n
\u2014 First and Main streets;<\/p>\n
\u2014 Second and Hill streets; and<\/p>\n
\u2014 Temple and Hill streets.<\/p>\n

Other free New Year\u2019s Eve events in Los Angeles County include:<\/p>\n
\u2014 The Marina del Rey New Year\u2019s Eve Fireworks & Glow Party at Burton Chace Park from 7 p.m. to midnight. It will include music, food trucks, magic shows, face painting, interactive performers such as glowing robots, stilt walkers and fairies, a giant LED screen showing a live feed of the Times Square ball drop.<\/p>\n
Ten-minute fireworks shows will begin at 8:59 p.m. and 11:59 p.m.<\/p>\n
