He was named as one of the 26 modern-day semifinalists in November.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1nfb3k4i _16w9vov1 _16w9vov0 ls9zuh1\">This was Wisniewski\u2019s final year of eligibility as a modern-day candidate. Now, he will head to the senior committee candidates and that can be a long wait because of the glut of candidates and how few people are elected from that group each year. Fellow Raiders\u2019 legends, quarterback Jim Plunkett and cornerback Lester Hayes have been stuck in that process for years.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1nfb3k4i _16w9vov1 _16w9vov0 ls9zuh1\">Wisniewski was also a semifinalist last year and in 2014. The guard was an eight time Pro Bowl selection and a seven time first or second team All-Pro choice and a member of the 1990\u2019s all-decade team. Wisniewski, 58, played his entire career for the Los Angeles\/Oakland Raiders, spanning 1989-2001.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1nfb3k4i _16w9vov1 _16w9vov0 ls9zuh1\">Meanwhile, tight end Jason Witten is a finalist.
