It typically features stages of live music, children\u2019s activities, food and a fireworks show to ring in the new year. This year would have marked the city\u2019s 32nd event.<\/p>\n<p>While some parts of Orange County received about an inch of rain during last week\u2019s Christmas Eve storm, others saw up to five inches. The storm triggered freeway closures, rescues and flooding across Southern California.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ocregister.com\/2025\/12\/29\/another-storm-set-to-hit-southern-california-around-new-years-day-will-it-be-as-bad-as-the-christmas-rain\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Another storm<\/a> is expected to arrive on New Year\u2019s Day, with two inches of rainfall projected for OC, followed by a second storm leading into the weekend.<\/p>\n<p>For those searching for kid-friendly alternatives, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ocregister.com\/2025\/12\/26\/southern-california-theme-parks-ring-in-new-years-eve-with-music-and-fireworks\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">at least two other major celebrations are expected to continue in Orange County.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Buena Park\u2019s Knott\u2019s Berry Farm will have extended hours to ring in the new year, along with midnight fireworks scheduled. In Anaheim, Disneyland\u2019s New Year\u2019s Eve fireworks are scheduled for 9 p.m. and midnight.
