The San Jose Sharks will be scratching top prospect Michael Misa on Friday against the Utah Mammoth. <\/p>\n
Misa, who took regular line rushes in practice on Wednesday, will be held out of Friday\u2019s lineup. <\/p>\n
\u201cThe schedule dictates a little bit. The match-ups,\u201d Sharks coach Ryan Warsofsky told SJHN Friday morning<\/a>. \u201cGonna be high-pace game today. I would say more so matchup-oriented, more than anything.\u201d<\/p>\n Misa could be on a similar plan to one that Will Smith<\/a> had to start the 2024-25 season. The Sharks are playing their first of 16 back-to-back scenarios this season. The team will travel back to SAP Center for Saturday\u2019s game against the Pittsburgh Penguins.<\/p>\n Advertisement. He did not say if either plan was similar to Smith\u2019s.<\/p>\n Iorio to make Sharks debut with Mukhamadullin injured<\/p>\n Defenseman Vincent Iorio, who was claimed off waivers from the Washington Capitals <\/a>on Thursday, is in Utah and will play<\/a>. <\/p>\n Shakir Mukhamadullin, who appeared to be on track to return to the Sharks\u2019 lineup after being scratched for two games, was injured during practice, according to SJHN.<\/p>\n \u201cWe don\u2019t think it\u2019s too serious,\u201d Warsofsky told SJHN. \u201cBut I would say he\u2019s probably out through the weekend.\u201d<\/p>\n Advertisement. Scroll to continue reading.<\/p>\n Timothy Liljegren<\/a> is now on injured reserve with an upper-body injury as a corresponding move for the Sharks, claiming Iorio. <\/p>\n Veteran John Klingberg<\/a> will also miss Friday\u2019s game due to a lower-body injury. Warsofsky told reporters that Klingberg is traveling with the team, but is doubtful to play.<\/p>\n Warsofsky said Klingberg tried to skate today and it didn\u2019t go well. So he\u2019s doubtful for tomorrow.
