(KBAK\/KBFX) \u2014 The McFarland Police Department said there will be increased patrols on New Year\u2019s Eve with officers actively looking for drivers under the influence of alcohol or drugs to help keep roads safe.<\/p>\n<p>McFarland police said in a social media post, \u201cDriving under the influence puts your life and the lives of others at serious risk. Impaired driving crashes are preventable, and no celebration is worth a life.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The department is reminding drivers to plan ahead by:<\/p>\n<p>Celebrate responsiblyDesignate a sober driverUse a rideshare, taxi, or driving service<\/p>\n<p>If you\u2019ve been drinking, do not drive.
