BAKERSFIELD, Calif.(KBAK\/KBFX) \u2014 Following a stolen property investigation from late November, Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s deputies arrested a 57-year-old man at a Bakersfield motel on Monday, Dec. 29, 2025.<\/p>\n

The department shared on social media<\/a> that on November 27, the suspect allegedly burglarized a business in the 26800 block of Bouquet Canyon Road in Saugus, stealing approximately $8,000 worth of property.<\/p>\n

Detectives identified the man suspected of the crime, driving over 80 miles per hour in the Bakersfield area. The Crime Impact Unit (CIT) assisted in the investigation.<\/p>\n

CIT detectives traveled to Bakersfield on Monday, Dec. 29, and found the suspect at a Bakersfield motel.<\/p>\n

The suspect was taken to and booked into the Santa Clarita Jail.
