BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) \u2014 Bakersfield police are searching for a suspect who they said broke into a car and stole handbags.<\/p>\n

On Dec. 14, the suspect stole about 10 handbags after breaking into a car in the 900 block of 20th Street, police said. The alleged theft occurred at about 2:19 a.m.<\/p>\n

The stolen handbags were valued at about $1,000.<\/p>\n

The man, who fled on a bicycle, was described to be wearing a black hoodie with orange and white skeletons, dark pants and Converse Chuck Taylor shoes, police said.<\/p>\n

He also had a black Jansport backpack and was riding a TREK bike.<\/p>\n
