(Photo courtesy of CHP San Diego)<\/p>\n<p>A semi tractor-trailer hydroplaned during heavy rains Thursday, crashed into a center divider and jack-knifed, blocking the right three lanes of traffic on northbound Interstate 15 and prompting a Sig Alert just south of Interstate 8.<\/p>\n<p>The solo-vehicle incident was reported to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.chp.ca.gov\/find-an-office\/border-division\/645-san-diego\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">California Highway Patrol<\/a> about 10:50 a.m, causing officials to issue a Sig Alert and report that the big rig\u2019s front-end was smashed during the crash.<\/p>\n<p>It was not immediately known whether the tractor-trailer driver was injured.<\/p>\n<p>The CHP reported that a tow truck was called to remove the tractor-trailer.
