{"id":118764,"date":"2026-01-03T14:36:10","date_gmt":"2026-01-03T14:36:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ca\/118764\/"},"modified":"2026-01-03T14:36:10","modified_gmt":"2026-01-03T14:36:10","slug":"reckless-driver-evades-police-but-gets-caught-days-later","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ca\/118764\/","title":{"rendered":"Reckless driver evades police but gets caught days later"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A driver who escaped from police had their car impounded after being caught a few days later.<\/p>\n<p>Fresno Police attempted a traffic stop on a driver driving a black Mercedes sedan in downtown Fresno on December 30th.<\/p>\n<p>Officers stopped pursuing the car due to reckless driving and to avoid endangering the public.<\/p>\n<p>A  court-authorized vehicle seizure order was given and shared with multiple agencies.<\/p>\n<p>An Oakhurst  CHP officer located the Mercedes traveling on Highway 41 at Cavin Lane in Coarsegold. <\/p>\n<p>The car was stopped and seized.<\/p>\n<p>The driver was also given a ticket for driving on a suspended license. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"A driver who escaped from police had their car impounded after being caught a few days later.
