(KBTX) – The Texas A&M football team received a commitment from Fresno State transfer tight end Richie Anderson III Sunday, his agent Ty Stover confirmed with KBTX. <\/p>\n
In two seasons with the Bulldogs, Anderson tallied 447 yards on 49 catches and three receiving touchdowns. Of that, 300 yards and three touchdowns were a part of Fresno State\u2019s 2025 campaign. <\/p>\n
He is one of four transfer commitments the Aggies received Sunday, including Tulsa linebacker Ray Coney<\/a>, LSU offensive lineman Coen Echols<\/a> and Colorado safety Tawfiq Byard<\/a>.<\/p>\n The 6-foot-4, 255-pound tight end was a 3-star recruit as a linebacker out of Tualatin High School (Tualatin, Or.). He played both linebacker and tight end in high school and was a two-time all-state selection. <\/p>\n Anderson is the second tight end the Aggies have added out of the portal in this window, following former UTSA and College Station High School\u2019s Houston Thomas. A&M lost tight end Nate Boerkicher to eligibility and Theo Melin \u00d6hrstr\u00f6m to the transfer portal. <\/p>\n Anderson\u2019s commitment was first reported by Gig\u2019em 247\u2019s Carter Karels and Joseph Hastings. <\/p>\n
