The Bulldogs\u2019 top wide receiver is staying for one more year.<\/p>\n
On Sunday, Fresno State announced the NCAA had granted Josiah Freeman an extension.<\/p>\n

Fresno State said Freeman received a medical extension after playing only four games in 2024 because of injury.<\/p>\n A 2022 transfer from Hartnell Junior College \u2014 he redshirted in his first Fresno State season \u2014 Freeman led the Bulldogs in 2025 with 52 receptions, 642 yards and six touchdowns. He saved his best for last, recording 143 yards against Miami in the Snoop Dogg Arizona Bowl. It marked the Bulldogs\u2019 only 100-yard receiving performance of the season.<\/p>\n Wide receiver Harold Duvall \u2014 a rising sophomore out of Clovis East High School \u2014 announced Sunday he will return in 2026. Primarily a backup, he caught four passes for 77 yards and a touchdown.<\/p>\n \u201cBetting on myself and my city. Red Wave, I\u2019m staying home, running it back, and the unfinished business continues!!\u201d Duvall wrote on X<\/a>.<\/p>\n The school also announced that wide receiver Joshua Johnson, a seldom-used senior, entered the transfer portal. He played in four games this season but did not record a catch.<\/p>\n Other Portal News<\/p>\n Defensive back Jayden Davis, a reserve who entered the portal, announced on X<\/a> he has received offers from Temple and Bowling Green.<\/p>\n RL Miller<\/a>, also a backup defensive back, announced he received an offer from Cal Poly, now coached by former Bulldogs interim coach Tim Skipper.<\/p>\n Several players from other schools said they have had contact with Fresno State since entering the portal \u2014 University of San Diego offensive tackle Oscar Weigel<\/a>, East Tennessee edge rusher Kaven Call<\/a>, Weber State center Will Way<\/a>, and cornerback Elmo Warner<\/a>, who would technically be a junior college transfer from Modesto Junior College.<\/p>\n Two additional names can be added to the Bulldogs\u2019 initial portal list \u2014 linebacker Tim Thomas and defensive lineman Damarrion White. Thomas left the team after four games in 2025. White left the team for a portion of the season and did not see any action.
