An Oakland County resident says he feels like \u201ca weight has been lifted from his chest\u201d after winning $1 million in the Michigan Lottery\u2019s Super Raffle game.<\/p>\n

The 30-year-old player, who chose to remain anonymous, won the cash when his Super Raffle number \u2014 172580 \u2014 was selected as a $1 million winner in the drawing on Nov. 19. He bought his winning ticket at Kakoz 2 LLC, located at 36950 Dequindre Road and Metropolitan Parkway in Sterling Heights on the Troy border.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy brother told me about the Super Raffle game, so I asked him to buy me a ticket when he went and got one for himself and I ended up getting lucky,\u201d the man said. \u201cWhen I saw my raffle ticket was a $1 million winner, I couldn\u2019t believe it.<\/p>\n

\u201cI had to check it several times before it started to sink in that I really won. I feel stress free and like a weight has been lifted from my chest!\u201d<\/p>\n

The player recently visited Lottery headquarters to claim the prize. He chose to receive his prize as a one-time lump sum payment of about $693,000, rather than annuity payments for the full amount. He plans to save his winnings.<\/p>\n

According to Michigan Lottery,\u00a0Super Raffle featured the richest payout of any raffle game offered by the Lottery. It offered a top prize of $6 million and two $1 million prizes.
