{"id":121378,"date":"2026-01-05T22:48:07","date_gmt":"2026-01-05T22:48:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ca\/121378\/"},"modified":"2026-01-05T22:48:07","modified_gmt":"2026-01-05T22:48:07","slug":"man-and-woman-identified-in-apparent-murder-suicide-on-christmas-autopsies-pending","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ca\/121378\/","title":{"rendered":"Man and woman identified in apparent murder-suicide on Christmas; autopsies pending"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>BAKERSFIELD, Calif.(KBAK\/KBFX) \u2014 The <a href=\"https:\/\/bakersfieldnow.com\/news\/local\/bakersfield-police-investigate-deadly-shooting-near-bakersfield-college\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">man and woman found dead in an apparent murder-suicide on Christmas night<\/a> have been identified as Pedro Juan Rivera Gonzalez, 49, and Francis B Lainez Romero, 55, both of Bakersfield. <\/p>\n<p>The Kern County coroner reported that Gonzalez and Romero were discovered dead at 10:11 p.m. in the 2700 block of Blade Avenue, located just east of Bakersfield College.<\/p>\n<p>On Dec. 25, 2025, at around 10 p.m., Bakersfield Police officers responded to reports of a shooting at a home on Blade Avenue.
