BAKERSFIELD, Calif.(KBAK\/KBFX) \u2014 The Kern County Sheriff’s Office said that on New Year’s Eve, multiple deputies, including those from eastern Kern County, arrested two men for allegedly burglarizing a train in the Keene area.<\/p>\n
On Dec. 31, 2025, deputies responded to a remote area in Keene regarding a train burglary. Upon arrival, they found suspects Ricardo Rodriguez, 47, and Juan Diaz, 41, inside a storage container on a train.<\/p>\n
Diaz and Rodriguez allegedly barricaded themselves inside the container and refused to come out, said KCSO. Shortly later, the suspects came out and were arrested without further incident.<\/p>\n

Both Diaz and Rodriguez are charged with burglary, conspiracy, delaying or obstructing a peace officer, two counts of possession of a controlled substance, and giving false identification to a peace officer. Diaz was also charged with two outstanding warrants and a misdemeanor warrant.<\/p>\n
