(KFSN) &#8212; Thousands of Fresno Unified retirees on Medicare have been cut off from all medical care as of the new year.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy \">Contract negotiations between Aetna and Community Medical Centers and Community Health Partners were not resolved by the December 31, 2025 deadline, resulting in the contract ending.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy \">Fresno Unified Superintendent Misty Her says retirees can still be seen if they have an emergency.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC eTIW sUzSN \">She encourages affected employees to work directly with Aetna Member Services regarding their specific plan and circumstances, and to note that the district is evaluating all options.<br class=\" \"\/><\/p>\n<p>Copyright \u00a9 2026 KFSN-TV.
