Center fielder Mike Trout wrapped up his 15th season with the Los Angeles Angels in September. The 34-year-old veteran endured a down year at the plate for his standards, finishing with a .232 batting average, .359 on-base percentage, .797 OPS, 26 home runs and 64 RBIs across 130 games.

Even so, if there is one player with the track record and ability to bounce back in 2026, it is Trout. His list of individual accolades is among the most impressive in baseball history.

Trout is a three-time MVP, Rookie of the Year, 11-time All-Star and nine-time Silver Slugger. Despite his individual brilliance, the Angels have consistently failed to build a roster capable of making a deep playoff run, leaving Trout’s legacy incomplete. For both the player and the franchise, 2026 represents another chance to change that narrative.

Away from the baseball diamond, Trout has steadily built a reputation in the golf world, reflecting his passion for the sport and his desire to expand his influence beyond baseball.

On Monday, he announced a giveaway for fans through Jupiter Links Golf Club, the TGL (Tomorrow’s Golf League) team he is a limited partner in. The promotion offered four tickets to the upcoming Jan. 20 match against Los Angeles Golf Club.

This giveaway is just one example of how Trout has embraced golf as a second passion. Beyond his stake in Jupiter Links, he has also developed his own private course, Trout National – The Reserve, in southern New Jersey.

The project includes an 18-hole championship course, short course, practice facilities and a modern clubhouse. For Trout, it represents a long-time dream and a way to give back to his home region.

Whether on the field chasing a playoff berth or off the field shaping the future of golf, Trout continues to build a legacy that stretches far beyond baseball.

As the 2026 season approaches, his ultimate focus will inevitably return to the Angels, where his leadership and production remain central to their hopes of contending.
