After former Smiths singer Morrissey canceled both concerts leading up to Saturday’s rescheduled performance in San Antonio, venue officials at Boeing Center at Tech Port confirm the local show is still proceeding as planned.

At least for now.

“So far, we are told it’s still on, but we know that could potentially change,” Boeing Center Marketing Manager Jenn Smith told the Current via email. “Let’s hope it doesn’t and we are still good to go, but as of today, he is still on.”

Smith added that the venue got confirmation with booking giant Live Nation as well.

The show, set to take place Saturday, Jan. 10, is already rescheduled from a May 2025 postponement. The question remains for many San Antonio fans whether the British crooner will postpone or cancel yet again for a city that seems to have undying — yet unrequited — love for his melodramatic ballads.

Last week, the Current reported Morrissey had postponed his already rescheduled Jan. 3 performance at Rancho Mirage, California. He later canceled his San Diego date — set for Tuesday, January 6 — as well.

On the California venues’ websites, an event update cited an “adverse reaction” to medication as reason for the cancelations. This follows Morrissey scrapping the remainder of his 2025 dates in November due to “extreme exhaustion.“

San Antonio is next on the tour after the back-to-back cancelations. That is, if Morrissey shows up.

If not, it will mark the fifth time in a row that “this charming man” has stood up the Alamo City.
