Metcalf, 70, of West Sacramento, died in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.yahoo.com\/news\/articles\/plane-crash-north-sacramento-leaves-211245039.html\" data-ylk=\"slk:plane crash;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas;outcm:mb_qualified_link;_E:mb_qualified_link;ct:story;\" class=\"link  yahoo-link\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">plane crash<\/a> that occurred around 12:30 p.m. near the intersection of Claire Avenue and Rio Linda Boulevard.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">On Dec. 24, the Sacramento Fire Department responded to a call for an aircraft emergency that required two men to be extracted from the plane.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">A spokesperson with the fire department told FOX40 that two men were transported to a trauma center in different ambulances. The passenger went into cardiac arrest but was revived after medical personnel worked on him.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">The National Transportation Safety Board\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/NTSB_Newsroom\/status\/2003965978787696990\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:confirmed on X;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">confirmed on X<\/a> that its crews are investigating the crash.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">At this time, the cause of the plane crash is unknown.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Copyright 2026 Nexstar Media, Inc.
