The Silicon Valley Auto Show returns to the Santa Clara Convention Center this weekend to allow car enthusiasts and would-be buyers a chance to see what\u2019s new in the auto industry. Some of the world\u2019s top automakers will drive their vehicles into the Convention Center so visitors can browse the new models, rain or shine.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think that the Silicon Valley Auto Show, what\u2019s interesting about it, is that it reflects the area. It reflects what\u2019s happening in the larger area,\u201d said Kelly Blue Book Executive Editor Brian Moody. \u201cSo, there are portions of it for car enthusiasts, right? But there\u2019s also new technology, like the new Kia EV6, is an electric car that now uses the Tesla-style charger \u2026 You have plenty of people that can buy Teslas and Ferraris and that kind of stuff, but then you also have \u2026 a ton of Toyotas.\u201d<\/p>\n

This year\u2019s SV Auto Show will feature plenty of hybrid and electric cars, including a series of Toyota hybrids, the all-new Hyundai Palisade and the all-electric Lucid vehicles. Some of the more eye-catching cars will be the Cadillac Escalade IQ and the Lucid Air.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Moody says there may also be some surprises.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cThere\u2019s always some kind of surprise in terms of an exotic type of car, like high-end Porsches, or Lamborghinis, or something like that,\u201d said Moody.<\/p>\n

But the beauty of the SV Auto Show is that it\u2019s not just for the car buffs. It\u2019s for families and for people looking for a stress-free way to shop for a new vehicle.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cIf you want to see technology, that\u2019s there, but especially for people that are shopping for a car, it\u2019s a one-stop place that you can look at multiple models, multiple brands, all in one place without having to drive from place to place to place,\u201d said Moody.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s a non-selling show, which means you can go look around as much as you want, and no one is going to pressure you into buying a car today. \u2018Can I get your contact info?\u2019 \u2018What can I do to get you to buy a car right now?\u2019 Like, none of that happens at this show,\u201d Moody continued.<\/p>\n

The SV Auto Show features cars from Acura, Cadillac, Chevrolet, Chrysler, Dodge, Ford, Hyundai, Infiniti, Jaguar, Jeep, Kia, Land Rover, Lucid, Lexus, Mercedes-Benz, Porsche, Ram, Tesla and Toyota. There will also be prototype cars such as the Fiat 500e Armani Edition and the Porsche Macan EV.<\/p>\n

Some cars will be available for test drives, including all of the Tesla models and the Cadillac Escalade IQ.<\/p>\n

The show<\/a> is open Friday, Jan. 9 through Sunday, Jan. 11 at the Santa Clara Convention Center at 5001 Great America Parkway. It runs from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Admission is $17 for adults, $12 for seniors, military and children 8-12. Children 12 and under are free on Sunday.<\/p>\n
