(KBAK\/KBFX) \u2014 The Kern County Coroner\u2019s Office has identified the<a href=\"https:\/\/bakersfieldnow.com\/news\/local\/at-least-1-dead-in-california-city-rollover-crash-on-hwy-14-chp-phllips-road-investigation-california-highway-patrol-kern-county-coroner\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\"> six-year-old girl who died after a crash near Mojave on New Year\u2019s Eve<\/a> as Zyon Kaween Romero of Weldon.<\/p>\n<p>The California Highway Patrol said on December 31, 2025, at around 12:41 p.m., officers were called to a crash on southbound Highway 14, north of Phillips Road.<\/p>\n<p>According to the CHP&#8217;s website, a driver was reportedly being forced off the highway by two other vehicles. Two other children, ages 9 and 11, sustained minor to moderate injuries.<\/p>\n<p>The driver sustained moderate injuries.
