The cool air that\u2019s causing chills across San Diego County will be quickly replaced by dry Santa Ana winds that will produce unseasonably warm weather late into next week, the National Weather Service says.<\/p>\n
The average daytime high temperature at San Diego International Airport this time of year is 66. Forecasters say the high will range from 72 to 74 degrees from Saturday through Thursday, and perhaps longer. Inland areas will be even warmer.<\/p>\n
The Santa Anas are usually a source of concern because of their ability to start and spread fire, especially in the county\u2019s backcountry. But the region\u2019s unusually heavy seasonal rainfall has greatly diminished that threat.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe Santa Anas shouldn\u2019t be a wildfire problem,\u201d said Brian D\u2019Agostino, vice president of wildlife and climate science at San Diego Gas & Electric.<\/p>\n
