\u201cI think the interest is still there,\u201d Amick said regarding the Kings and Kuminga. \u201cThey just talked last week. They plan on circling back. The Warriors are in a tough spot.\u201d<\/p>\n
In his last 13 games of availability, Kuminga has recorded a DNP-CD on 12 occasions, with the one exception featuring less than 10 minutes of action.<\/p>\n
Playing in 18 games earlier this season, the 23-year-old forward averaged 11.8 points, 6.2 rebounds, and 2.6 assists on 43.1 percent from the field and 32.0 percent from three.<\/p>\n
\u201cI don\u2019t know what percentage I would put on it, but never say never, in terms of him not getting traded, just because the, you know, I think if there\u2019s nothing of substance coming the Warriors\u2019 way in return, I wonder if Joe lake it might be stubborn about it,\u201d Amick continued.<\/p>\n
\u201cBut I would certainly handicap that he gets moved somewhere, because his presence has created some tension around the team. And I think it would be healthier for them to move on. And the Kings do appear to be the number one suitor, and I think that puts them in a position of strength.\u201d<\/p>\n
Amick echoed familiar reports that the Warriors do not appear to have much interest in Malik Monk, which could make a deal contingent on a third team. He also added that the first-round pick the Kings reportedly would\u2019ve had to include in the offseason is \u201coff the table\u201d now.<\/p>\n
