SACRAMENTO \u2014 A 51-year-old San Jose man wanted for five years for failing to register as a sex offender was finally arrested Tuesday in Sacramento, according to authorities.<\/p>\n
In November, the Santa Clara County Sheriff\u2019s Office shared information about the man as part of its \u201cWanted Wednesday\u201d campaign, which in turn \u201cgenerated an anonymous tip with crucial details\u201d about his whereabouts, the sheriff\u2019s office said in a news release.<\/p>\n
The sheriff\u2019s office followed up and confirmed the man was in the Sacramento area. Working with the U.S. Marshals Service, the sheriff\u2019s office arrested the man in the city.<\/p>\n
Sheriff\u2019s office spokesperson Brooks Jarosz said the man was wanted on two warrants for failing to register as a sex offender.
