North Beach<\/a> is typically known for its Italian restaurants, but newcomer Equal Parts<\/a> brings a bit of Mexico City to this corner of San Francisco<\/a>. Chef Melissa Perfit leads the kitchen; she\u2019s worked her way through some of the city\u2019s most popular restaurants \u2014 Bar Crudo<\/a>, Bar Tartine, Hard Water, and Popi\u2019s Oysterette<\/a> \u2014 and she was even a contestant on Top Chef Season 15. Her cooking shines brightest with seafood, befitting her restaurant history, but diners will also see her branch out into other proteins for a well-rounded menu. Pair that with the bar experience of co-owners (and industry vets) Victor Pichardo and Jacob Cortes for some serious cocktails, and it has the makings of a scene-y night out.<\/p>\n

If you\u2019re here to catch vibes, the drip starts at the street, with the long walkway decorated in willow branches forming a welcoming tunnel to the front door. Inside, the restaurant is lush with plants, textural touches such as basket-woven lampshades, and exposed wooden rafters that make everything feel spacious. The restaurant is well-equipped to fit groups of all sizes, from its lengthy bar and lounge, intimate tables for two, or circular banquettes toward the back. There\u2019s also an enclosed patio with heat lamps.<\/p>\n
