In the loss, <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/theahl.com\/stats\/player\/8916\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Cole Clayton<\/a> scored his first with the Barracuda and <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/theahl.com\/stats\/player\/10050\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Gabe Carriere<\/a> turned aside 19 of 21.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:0px;\">After a scoreless opening period, Bakersfield broke through midway through the second when <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/theahl.com\/stats\/player\/8726\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Roby J\u00e4rventie<\/a> (2) capitalized on the power play, finishing a setup from <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/theahl.com\/stats\/player\/7927\/90\/rem-pitlick\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Rem Pitlick<\/a> and <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/theahl.com\/stats\/player\/10879\/90\/atro-leppanen\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Atro Leppanen<\/a> to make it 1-0.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:0px;\">San Jose drew even early in the third as Clayton netted his first of the season at 4:39 as he blocked a shot in his own zone and then scored on a two-on-one back the other way.
