With the new Spring semester, comes a multiple services available to Fresno City College students.\u00a0 Enrollment is robust with FCC on track to meet its enrollment goals.\u00a0 Over 25,000 students are enrolled for the 2026 spring semester, and that number is expected to increase. The semester starts on Monday, January 12 and there are transportation options for students during the 2026 Spring Semester. There is also extra help available for them through the first week.<\/p>\n
There are still a limited number of classes available for students.\u00a0 The introduction to the craft of poetry will be taught by the current California Poet Laureate and longtime English instructor, Lee Herrick on Tuesday and Thursday mornings. \u00a0He is the first Asian American to be appointed as the State of California Poet Laureate and was named by Governor Newsom in 2022. He served as the Fresno Poet Laureate from 2015 to 2017. \u00a0In 2015, he co-founded LitHop, an annual literary arts festival held annually in the Tower District. \u00a0<\/p>\n
On the technology side, the college is expanding its technology and workforce-development offerings with the launch of CIT 71: AI Essentials, a newly created course debuting in Spring 2026. The class will meet Wednesday evenings from 6:00\u20139:50 p.m. and is open to students of all majors as well as community members seeking to strengthen their digital fluency. \u201cAI isn\u2019t just for tech specialists anymore,\u201d said Todd McLeod, FCC Business & Technology instructor and creator of the course. \u201cAnyone in today\u2019s workforce can benefit from understanding how to use AI to think more clearly, work more efficiently, and create new opportunities. Our goal is to empower students and professionals in the Central Valley to stay ahead of the curve,\u201d he added. <\/p>\n
Kerman Shuttle<\/p>\n
FCC is once again offering a free shuttle service for FCC students who live in Kerman and have registered for 2026 spring semester classes. Kerman students can register to add their names to the list. Check out the full schedule and times on the Shuttles to Campus | Fresno City College<\/a> web page. Times are subject to change based on ridership.<\/p>\n When parking on campus, there are over 800 parking stalls available to students in the FCC Parking Structure located near the Blackstone and Weldon entrance across from Ratcliffe Stadium. All students must purchase a parking permit<\/a> in order to park there or any parking lot on campus. <\/p>\n Free Bus Passes<\/p>\n The Fresno Area Express (FAX) transit system and Fresno City College are providing free bus passes for FCC students who have an Associated Student Body Card (ASB). Students can get their ASB card in the Student Activities Office located in the Cafeteria Building.<\/p>\n Welcome Center<\/p>\n
