Crews from the Fresno Fire Department responded to a two-alarm fire at an office building in Fresno\u2019s Tower District on Thursday, following reports of people trapped inside.<\/p>\n
Firefighters arrived just after\u00a09:30 a.m.\u00a0to find heavy smoke pouring from the boarded-up building at\u00a01331 N. Wishon Ave.\u00a0They quickly extinguished the fire and found no one inside, though the situation was challenging.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe went into rescue mode,\u201d Fresno Fire spokesperson\u00a0Josh Sellers\u00a0said. \u201cWe had to force entry into the building because multiple units inside tried to force entry; it\u2019s like a maze in there. Fortunately, there was no one inside.\u201d<\/p>\n
No firefighters were injured, Sellers said.<\/p>\n
The roadway was closed for several hours.<\/p>\n
